Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality IELTS preparation courses to high school students, in alignment with the Cambridge International Examinations curriculum and internal academic objectives.
• Design engaging and differentiated lesson plans tailored to students' English proficiency levels, with a focus on all four IELTS skill areas (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking).
• Create a dynamic and student-centered learning environment that fosters academic rigor, language development, and test readiness.
• Regularly assess student performance using authentic IELTS-style tasks and internal assessment tools. Provide targeted feedback to support student progress.
• Adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs, incorporating technology and multimedia resources where appropriate.
• Support the school’s academic and enrichment programs by contributing to IELTS clubs, mock exams, and student workshops.
• Collaborate with the EAL and homeroom teaching teams to track and support student learning goals.
• Maintain consistent communication with students, parents, and colleagues about progress and development.
• Participate actively in school-wide events, professional development programs, and faculty meetings.
• Uphold school policies, academic standards, and safeguarding expectations at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Academic Leadership Team.
Position Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field
• Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE, or Government approved teaching certification from a non-UK country)
• IELTS Examiner experience or IELTS Teacher Training certification (preferred)
• Familiarity with international curricula (Cambridge, IB, or similar) is an advantage
Experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ full-time teaching experience (post-certification) in an international or bilingual school setting
• Proven track record of successfully preparing students for IELTS or similar English proficiency exams
• Demonstrated ability to teach and assess in multicultural, student-centered classrooms
• Strong classroom management, communication, and intercultural competency skills
